This is in regards to the news that overflowing sewage in Panaji Mala area and the authorities playing with the precious lives of people. Many years back, leaking sewage got mixed with drinking water at a famous restaurant in Panjim which led to food poisoning and many consumers were affected. I have noticed for many months now on the main road from Mapusa to Cuchelim towards Siolim on the MDR-6, sewage water is released in storm water drains. The Mapusa Municipal sanitary Inspector, ward Councillor and health officer should conduct a site inspection immediately before the stinking nuisance seeping into the PWD water supply line.
It is high time the authorities start acting before the monsoons wash the sewerage water into the low lying properties.
