It’s been more than a year since the roads in Alto-Betim, Porvorim have been completely worn out. A year ago, the digging of the roads started for the sewage system. After that the condition of the roads was ok but it was not repaired. But later on, the Electricity Department started digging the roads for laying of the underground cables. They completely spoiled the roads making it very difficult for the commuters to drive and for the pedestrians to walk. There are so many accidents taking place but no one is ready to take action and repair the roads. The roads have become a “death trap”. Nor the Electricity Department nor the concerned authorities are talking any actions. The people who are residing along these roads are facing a lot of problems because of the enormous dust created, thereby polluting the area.
As these roads are busy, which lead to Calangute and Betim from Porvorim, there is no action taken. Now, with the onset of monsoon, it will be a horrible experience totally. I request the concerned authorities to please take up the tarring of the entire roads as soon as possible.
