I would like to bring to your notice about the bad condition of the road outside the Paulo bus shop near the bus stand in Panjim. Travelling to and fro to college has become difficult as all vehicles travelling to Panjim slow down causing traffic jams on the Mandovi and Patto bridges.
It is also impossible to judge the depth of these pot-holes as they are filled with rain water. Every year a lot of public money goes into rebuilding and repairing these roads but every year during the monsoons these very same roads are lost to Goa’s heavy rain.
It would be fitting for the engineers at PWD to conduct a study about reasons why the tar roads don’t last long and what could make the roads last longer. This issue has been affecting the general public as a whole for a long time and it is high time that the PWD find a long-lasting solution.
