With the Ganesh Chaturthi festival soon approaching, the roads at various locations in the State have still remained neglected. The promise of the PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar to repair the existing potholes prior to the festival has remained only on papers.
Under such circumstances, mishaps are likely to occur in coming days thereby leading to severe injuries and in some cases even death of precious human lives. Seen in the picture is potholed road adjacent to Bank of Baroda at Varkhandem in Ponda.
The PWD Minister should not take human lives for granted anymore and initiate some positive measures to improve the existing pitiful condition in this regard on priority basis.
It is absolutely necessary that travellers and pedestrians are assured safety at all costs. Let us hope that swift favourable action would follow at the earliest in public interest.
