The door of a transformer near the Sukthankar Enclave at Shantinagar in Ponda has been noticed in a misplaced condition. Live electrical wires have been lying in an exposed condition and there is every possibility of pedestrians, especially innocent children coming in contact with these wires. Precious human lives are likely to receive an electric shock leading to adverse consequences.
The transformer has been lying unattended for quite long and the maintenance staff of Electricity Department have failed to re-fix the misplaced door in its correct position at the appropriate time. It is absolutely necessary that the error is rectified at the earliest without any further delay. Let us hope that prompt favorable action would follow in this sensitive matter in the interest of innocent pedestrians. This would go a long way in assuring safety to one and all.
