Respect, cleanliness, hygiene and safety awareness

This picture with the bins and garbage has been discussed before, its location near the electricity office on the St Michael and Fern Residency road in Taleigao.
Initially, the PWD acted upon and removed the garbage outside the bins and surrounding area. However, as you can see the garbage has begun accumulating again making the roadside a disgusting sight and an eyesore for pedestrians and a feast for all the stray dogs that create a mess.
The main problem is passersby dump their garbage here at night, in the darkness because the two street lights on either side of the bins have not been working for a number of months. This encourages those doing the wrong thing to do it in the silence of dark.
Keeping one’s house clean is just as important as keeping your locality clean. It is a shame that people do not respect the area they live in.
Hopefully, this article will get the lights repaired making it safer to walk. The PWD clears all the garbage around the bins so dogs stop making a mess and raise people’s awareness to cleanliness to respect their neighbourhood.
