At some locations we come across instances wherein coconut leaves or smaller dry branches of trees hanging on live electrical wires. This is quite dangerous and is likely to cause short circuit, more so, during strong winds.
Under such circumstances it would certainly result in adverse consequences including damage to life and property. It is absolutely necessary that prompt favourable action is initiated in similar instances so that normalcy is achieved on a permanent basis.
The higher officials at the maintenance section of Electricity Department should take a note of such cases and attend to the same on priority basis to ensure safety. Seen in the picture is a coconut leaf hanging precariously on the live electrical wires adjacent to Shree Saraswati Temple at Daag area in Ponda.
As on Saturday May 16 at 8.30 am, situation in this regard was the same.
Let us hope that the concerned higher officials of this important department will consider the seriousness of important matter and remove of he said leaf immediately.
Such a positive step will go a long way in avoiding any untoward incident in future.
Of course, the public at large must be assured safety on a permanent basis.
