The High Mast situated near Masjid-e-Noorani at Curti in Ponda has been found non-functional on most occasions. Hence motorists and pedestrians do not receive illumination on the road. They are subjected to great inconvenience and trouble in the process.
Due to darkness there is every possibility of pick-pocketeers grabbing the opportunity to rob cash amount and valuables of the passersby. Although the office of the Electricity Department is close to this location, timely repairs of this particular high mast are not undertaken.
Nevertheless it is absolutely necessary that the same is repaired on priority basis so that public at large is provided illumination on a permanent basis. As on Friday, November 30 at 6:45 pm, this high mast was found to be non-functional. Let us hope that the officials at the Electricity Department take a note of this important matter and initiate quick favourable action in repairing the non-working high mast without any further delay. Prompt redressal of this grievance would indeed be appreciated by one and all.
