It is observed that the road leading from the end of the Bambolim slope towards the capital city of Panjim has been widened. This is a welcome step as the number of vehicles that pass along this road has increased manifold. However, it is seen that after the widening of the road the electric poles present along the road have not been shifted and still exist at the same place. Now these electric poles happen to be present on the road as seen in the photo. This causes hindrance for the smooth flow of the traffic and defeats the very purpose of widening the road.
These poles can also cause accidents, specially at night more so when the street lights go off momentarily for some reason. These electric poles along the entire stretch of the road need to be shifted to the side, at some distance away from the road.
