Spillage from water tankers can prove dangerous

With parts of Goa not getting regular water-supply through taps, many people depend on the tankers that supply water for their daily use.
It is observed that when the water-tankers transport the water, much of it is spilled onto the roads.
This spillage is more severe when the tanker moves up and down the slope. The water that is spilled onto the roads can make the roads slippery, specially if there is oil that has spilled onto the road or if there is mud on the road.
The slippery condition of the road could lead to accidents. The road could be as slippery and dangerous as is experienced during the first rains at the onset of monsoon.
Care needs to be taken to see the outlet and the opening on top of the water-tanker are tightly closed so that there is minimal spillage of water onto the roads.
The traffic police needs to keep a watch on the water-tankers in order to prevent spillage.
