The Mapusa Highway has been a favourite dumping ground for garbage. Heaps of garbage including plastic, debris, construction waste is often dumped here which is a eyesore. Besides mud has been dumped into the once fertile fields here and migrants trade in tiles and marble slabs. At dawn, the Highway turns into a mini-market with hordes of migrants trading in fish here and dumping the waste by the roadside.
Constructions too have mushroomed in low lying fields here and the authorities prefer to see no evil. Soon Green Goa will turn into grey and there will be nothing left for the future generations.
