The men in Goa are getting bolder by the day. Earlier on one saw the men going into bushes or least away from the eyes of the public to do their business. Contrarily, they stand on the roadside in full view of the public and urinate.
Frequency maybe on inner roads, none the less they are still main roads of commuting. The main roads also face the similar menace. The worst sighting is on the road between Caranzalem-Dona Paula and St Michael Church. The men are very brazen, especially the gas supplier guys who park their trucks there for the gas exchange. They absolutely have no shame.
The cyclists and scooterists just stop, urinate in full view and drive off without a regard to the public. Drivers should start honking on the roads each time they see a person urinating to raise their awareness, to say that it is not acceptable.
I believe that this is offensive to the public, a real eyesore and strong action should be taken to prohibit this. If need be, portable toilets should be installed to help the people in doing the right thing to the public and environment.
The panchayat or State government should ban public urination as it is no different to defecation. Besides, there shouldn’t be two rules for genders. Stop public urinating. It is offensive. Educate the public.
