A new traffic island seems to be in the making at Khareband junction in Margao if one sees it from a distance. But what we see as we come near it is a gigantic sewerage chamber which has virtually put the traffic on this road in an utter chaos in the absence of a traffic policeman at the site.
Cars, bikes, buses and pedestrians seem to virtually find it impossible to go about wondering which side to take. Khareband and the project company seem to have taken over the roads without any concern towards road safety and public agony.
A traffic policeman is required at the site to regulate traffic at all times as jungle law seems to be prevailing at this junction at the moment.
