It seems crazy that the Mapusa Municipal councillors have allowed yet another circus in a place where some development work is going on at present.
In the evenings, serpentine traffic jams are the order of the day thus causing traffic chaos and hardship to the common man.
These people seem to be least bothered in providing relief and solving traffic congestion problems being witnessed at Gandhi circle.
It is high time, the civic authorities, mamlatdar and traffic police have talks to provide a permanent solution to this traffic chaos at this junction before a major calamity claims innocent lives.
I wish to suggest that interstate buses in Mapusa should be banned between 5.30pm to 9 pm as a temporary measure and to construct underground passage at PWD crossing point to Kadamba Transport Corporation bus stand, for people to cross without disrupting traffic.
