In the past, the Swantantra Path in Vasco was considered one of the most well-planned street in the whole of Goa.
But utter neglect of this beautiful promenade has resulted in it being in a pathetic condition.
One can notice that all along the pavement most of the tree enclosures are in a state of disrepair (as seen in the photograph). Municipal authorities must ensure that these are maintained and proper care is taken once various saplings are planted in these demarcated spots
Several such enclosures do not have trees in them. All this gives the city an ugly look.
The authorities concerned need to repair all the damaged tree enclosures as well as plant saplings wherever necessary before the onset of monsoon.
Lets hope greenery return to this popular street of Goa, which today is in need of repair and maintenance.
