Trim branches of tree covering traffic signboard near Ponda old bus stand

A traffic signboard existing adjacent to the pavement opposite Heritage Princes building near old bus stand in Ponda has been totally covered with branches of an adjoining tree. The signboard is unnoticeable for the commuters proceeding along this location. In fact, it was installed for instructing the commuters not to park their vehicles at this strategic area.

With the said signboard hiding inside the branches, the commuters park here from time to time. Not only the two-wheelers, but even cars are being parked with great ease. In the process, the vehicular traffic proceeding along the main road gets disturbed to a great extent. During the peak hours there is every possibility of traffic congestion taking place thereby causing inconvenience for the commuters.

As on Saturday, November 7, the situation in this regard was found to be unchanged. I hope the concerned authority would take a note of above matter and arrange immediate trimming of branches of the said tree covering this particular signboard so that the necessary instruction prescribed over it is clearly visible for the passersby.

Immediate redressal of this grievance would indeed assure smooth movement of vehicular traffic. The pedestrians too would be assured safety on a permanent basis.

Similar, an instance is also noticed opposite the Federal Bank, near Rukmininagar in Ponda. Such cases are common in the villages as well.

A signboard depicting existence of a speed-breaker near Two-Pillars at Queula has been covered with creepers for quite some time. So also a signboard covered with the branches of an adjoining tree has been noticed in the vicinity of Shree Datta Mantap at Adpai (also in Ponda). Let us hope that prompt positive steps would be initiated in assuring relief to innocent commuters proceeding along these locations.
