Urgent Call for Traffic Signals at Chicalim Junction Amid Rising Vehicle Chaos

The Chicalim junction happens to be the main entry and exit point for the port town of Vasco. It is also a vital junction as it connects to the Dabolim International airport. Five roads converge at this point. Of late there has been a tremendous increase in the number of vehicles, both light and heavy vehicles, passing through this junction, especially after dusk. A lone traffic cop tries to bring a semblance of order with regards to the flow of vehicles amidst the chaotic scene that unfolds here. It seems prudent for the authorities concerned to install traffic signals at this vital junction in order to regulate the movement of vehicles.
