BRICS or no BRICS, residents of Verna have to endure with power outages on a regular basis which sometimes last for three/four hours with routine maintenance being the common reason given by the dept.
We were under the illusion that the underground cabling would end our power woes but it has gone worse. This is besides the daily tripping of power for shorter durations several times a day, resulting in our electrical/electronic appliances getting damaged. Somebody has to be held accountable for this deficiency of essential service. The so called pre-monsoon maintenance looks like just another eyewash.
Another area of concern is the billing cycle with bills being issued after three/four months and this issue also needs to sorted out on top priority.
