Once a beautiful market, with everything in an orderly manner, but today chaos reigns in this area and nobody seems to be concerned about the problems.
Everyone seems to have their own way, the hawkers, vendors, shopkeepers and even the general public, who seem to park everywhere. Apart from the overflowing garbage, foul stench and unhygienic surroundings, haphazardly two-wheeler parking everywhere has become a nuisance of late.
What is worst is in the absence of parking slots, every two-wheeler parks as and how he/she prefers, causing inconvenience at the time of leaving. The concerned authorities too must not play the game of passing the buck to shirk away from responsibility doing their part of work with determination and to impose discipline and enforce penalty on the defaulters.
It’s only then the Mapusa market will fall in order and be restored to its glory. I hope the authorities do something fast.
