PANJIM: The Civil Supplies Department headed by Dayanand Mandrekar will generate 500 more jobs and the department is to be separated from office of the mamlatdar. The file is to be sent to finance and ARD in this regard.
The decisions came as part of the review of ministries exercise by the chief minister Manohar Parrikar, as promised by him.
Another 100 posts are to be created in Art and Culture Department and the file has been moved to the government.
The review found that the Vasco Ravindra Bhavan has been almost completed, and the Ravindra Bhavan at Sakhali is to be completed by December while for the Mapusa Ravindra Bhavan land acquisition is on.
Recruitment process for staff for Ravindra Bhavans at Vasco and Sakhali is under process.
