Class XII first term Board exam for major subjects from Dec 8

For optional subjects it will go on till Jan 5; Last date of registration for examination is today

PANJIM: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) will hold its first term Board examination for major subjects for Class XII from December 8 to 18 while for optional subjects it will go on till January 5, 2022. 

The final date of registration for the examination is Wednesday. The Goa Board has released the final date sheet for Class XII first term examination.

The GBSHSE was forced to change the format of examination due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation, wherein it had divided the 2021-22 academic years into two terms with 50 per cent of the syllabus to be covered in each term. The first term examination will be a 90-minute paper with multiple choice questions (MCQs) only. 

The Board has already announced that the second term public examination for students of Class XII will begin from March 18, 2022. 

As per the schedule, the Class XII term will begin from December 8 with Geography or Accountancy paper, while History and Physics is scheduled on December 9. The language paper will be held on December 10 and 11 respectively, the Mathematics and Political Science paper will be conducted on December 13. Physiology is scheduled on December 14 and Sociology and Business Studies on December 15. Hindi Language on December 16, Banking will be on December 17. The examination will conclude with Economics and Geography paper on December 18. 

The Vocation stream papers will continue thereafter. The examination will be held across 18 centres and will be held from 9 am to 11.30 am.
