MARGAO: The village panchayat of Varca held a cleanliness drive in the village with Community support.
As per the instructions of the South Goa District Collector, the VP organized a clean-up drive of the main roads in and around the village, with the collaborative support of the community, comprising of the village youth, teenagers, hoteliers and adults.
They went about the work, collecting waste items such as plastic bottles, bags and cardboard amongst other waste. Members of the community stressed that it was vital in keeping the village clean, since its helps the environment and maintain hygiene.
