CANACONA: A lower division clerk (LDC) in the office of Canacona joint mamlatdar, has been booked for criminal breach of trust.
Joint Mamlatdar Dattaraj K Gauns Desai complained to Canacona police that 12 mutation files that were in the custody of LDC Ajay Naik Desai have gone missing.
Sources say that Canacona police will visit the mamlatdar office to investigate the crime committed by Ajay, coming Tuesday. The information about the missing files has been sent to the Canacona deputy collector, whose office in turn has intimated the same to collector, South Goa.
Canacona police have registered case against the clerk under Section 408 read with 34 of IPC. PSI Damodar Shirodkar is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Filomeno Costa.
