PANJIM: The officers of the Archaeological Survey of India are at times insensitive, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar admitted. Replying to concerns raised by the Opposition MLA Reginaldo Lourenco, that the ASI officials were harassing church authorities, Parrikar recalled an instance when the ASI took as many as six months to give a permission for a simple job.
Finally the permission was given but not after I had written three letters and they(church authorities) had written at least six or seven letters, Parrikar said. The ASI is insensitive, they at times do not know, Parrikar said.
