PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired a meeting on Saturday of Receivables Exchange of India Ltd (RXIL) at conference hall, Secretariat, Porvorim, wherein reviewed the pending bills and directed the concerned departments to clear the entire pending bills.

The Chief Minister also reviewed the progress on Central government schemes and grants as well as the overall work status of the consultant for Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).
Further, the Chief Minister approved some upcoming projects under the Public Works Department (PWD), Electricity Department, Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) and Water Resources Department (WRD). At the meeting, the Chief Minister stated some projects of the PWD and GSIDC will be given first priority and that a decision is being taken on the projects to be provided more priority.
Principal Secretary (Finance) Puneet Kumar Goel was also present.
Speaking to the media persons post meeting, the Chief Minister said, “The government has commenced clearing pending bills of upto Rs 25 lakh and above. Those bills up to March 2020 have been paid to the contractors.”
“The State government has cleared Rs 500 crore worth bills of all the contractors of PWD, GSIDC under the RSL Scheme up till March 31,” informed Sawant
He also said the State government has taken a loan from Bank of Maharashtra for a repayment period of six months.
Sawant was also asked to comment about his Facebook profile being hacked and messages being sent from that profile to people asking for money. Screenshots of this had gone viral on social media.
“It looks like one of my old Facebook account was hacked. My office has filed a complaint regarding this,” said the Chief Minister.
