Parsekar was speaking after inaugurating the Archery Competition at Fatorda.
Reacting to the statements of D’Souza, the chief minister said, “The minister has said that the plan is open for suggestions and corrections and whatever demand is higher will prevail. (By this), he means that if the people want the plan and if there is an importance of RP 2021 amongst the people, then, we have to go ahead. The people’s need has to be sensed.”
“Francis has said that if the people don’t want the plan then we cannot impose it upon them,” the chief minister added.
It may be recalled that on Thursday, the deputy chief minister said that the regional plan will be scrapped if maximum of the suggestions received are to do so.
