PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Sunday said he welcomed the Goans stranded elsewhere to Goa but, on their return, they will have to undergo institutional quarantine for few days.

Sawant said that the Goans wanting to return to State in their own vehicles at the borders must arrive at time slots of 8 am, 12 noon and 8 pm respectively.
“During this period, the vehicles will be directly escorted to institutional quarantine for couple of days and after the tests are negative they will be sent home,” he said.
Sawant said after being sent home they will have to follow 14-day mandatory quarantine.
“If they do not follow we will put them in the paid quarantine facility. Everyone has to follow the rules to keep Goa in the Green Zone,” he said.
Further, the Chief Minister said, anyone coming to Goa not having State ID will be put in paid quarantine.
“Non-Goans coming to State for work in the companies will have to undergo 14-day paid quarantine,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister announced there are around 800 more seafarers from two ships in touch with government for their return.
“We are in touch with them and nitty-gritty of how to bring them back is being worked out,” CM said.
