MARGAO: The Goa Congress and Congress Women’s Wing has condemned the silence of the State Government and its allies on the alleged hate speech of Sadhvi Saraswati.  Goa Mahila Congress President Savitri Kavlekar and spokesperson and General Secretary of Congress Pratima Coutinho addressed the press conference.  Adv Pratima Coutinho challenged Sadhvi Saraswati to ask Chief Minister Parrikar to hang his Catholic ministers for consuming beef. “Why aren’t the allies who joined the Government making their stand clear,” Pratima asked.  The Mahila wing President of the Congress Savitri Kavlekar said, “No Government can stop people from having food of their choice and we demand that the CM should come out clean on this,” she said.
“The moment the BJP has come to power, these issues have been raked up across country. This an attempt to thrust UP CM’s ideas on to the people of Goa,” alleged Pratima.
