PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar promised a flurry of development projects all across the state such as city beautification, several bridges and other development projects, while addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Patto Redevelopment project, of the Economic Development Corporation, while calling on the people to support this government.

“By next Gudi Padwa you can expect the foundation stones for many projects being laid,” Parrikar said adding that the inauguration for Calvim bridge has already been fixed for May. He also spoke of the upcoming second bus stand in Panjim which will cater to South bound buses. “
“The two bus stands will be connected by a flyover,” so that it does not interrupt the flow of traffic,” Parrikar said adding that the development of other towns too is being taken up. “All I ask is that you support the government,” Parrikar said.
Earlier Parrikar inaugurated the redeveloped Patto complex. He urged the EDC to ensure that the plaza is well maintained and that they keep financial maintenance structures in order and see that the well executed project does not lie in ruin later.
