Expressed concern over the COVID-19 positive cases reported at Mangor Hill, Goencho Avaaz on Monday demanded that the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho, MLAs Alina Saldanha and Carlos Almeida besides others present at the function should immediately undergo self-quarantine, as the area where the cases have been detected is very close to Dabolim.
Reacting to the reports of COVID-19 positive cases detected at Mangor Hill, Goencho Avaaz, in a press release, said, “Moreover, there should be a concerted effort made immediately to identify those present at the function on May 26, if the gathered people had any contact with the people from Mangor or even visited the area”.
It may be recalled that Goencho Avaaz had filed a complaint against the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, the Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho, MLAs and others, who had gathered in large numbers on May 26, 2020 for the inauguration of the Grade Separator at Dabolim.
