BICHOLIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant while urging the people to inform about any illegal activities said that the parents should to be alert and keep a check on their children.
Dr Sawant was speaking at a function after inaugurating the police out post at Sanquelim, on Saturday.
“We hear that drugs have also reached the remote areas, but if anyone comes across such things they should inform the police and only then we would be able to curb them,” the Chief Minister said.
He also urged the parents to be vigilant and question their children if they come home late or are in some bad company.
He also stressed on the need to change the attitude of the people towards police and applauded them for working for 24 hours and seven days a week.
“There are few departments who work 24X7 and one of them is police. They should be given proper facilities and this is just a step towards it,” the Chief Minister said.
He also stated that in the years to come they might also make this out post into a full-fledged police station.
