PANJIM: The coast witnessed six rescues by Drishti’s lifesavers on Friday, four of which were from Anjuna, both double rescues.
The double rescues at Anjuna involved a couple from Guwahati both in their 30s. The second incident involved a lady from UK and a male from Bangalore, both 31 years old. The lifesavers rushed into the water and rescued the victims and brought them ashore.
Meanwhile, there was also a double rescue in Dudhsagar Falls, where two males who were caught up in a rip current had to be retrieved with a surfboard. The State has witnessed over 80 rescues over the past week.
