MARGAO: Residents of Comba, along with local Councilor, met the Executive Engineer of Sewage at Fatorda and demanded answers over the sewage flow in Comba.
Councillor Ketan Kurtarkar, RTI Activist Sriram Raiturkar and others were present at the meeting with the Executive Engineer Agnelo Barros and Assistant Engineer Prakash Pai of the Division XXI. However, both engineers were not in a position to give definite answers on when they would rectify the problem of the sewage flow.
The Councillor, along with the people of Comba, have now warned the Assistant Engineer and Executive Engineer of an indefinite strike at their office, if the problem was not solved in next ten days.
Comba locals have complained of water overflowing in the house toilets and bathrooms, which they suspect is due to choking of the lines. There have been instances where the flushed water in the toilets and bathrooms come back and caused nuisance.
