PANJIM: The EC, on Wednesday, received a complaint against BJP’s Aldona MLA Glenn Ticlo, demanding deletion of his name from the electoral roll.
Complainant Rajesh Shinde from Mapusa, pointed out that Ticlo, who had registered his birth in Central Registry of Portugal had applied to cancel the same in January 2012.
“As such, he is not any more Portuguese citizen. He has also till date not applied for Indian citizenship,” the complainant stated, which makes Ticlo a stateless citizen.
