MARGAO: NGO’s and Citizens of Fatorda and Borda have filed a complaint against Municipal Engineer Surendra Gaonkar for land filling in Borda and Fatorda on PWD land without permission.
“A massive land filling is taking place in low-lying area at Borda and we have filed complaints against the violations before the South Goa collector, MMC chief officer and several other authorities,” Congress Spokesperson Avinash Tavares said
“We expect these authorities to take action. If they don’t, then this is a fit case for Lokayukta as the municipal engineer has publically said that the local MLA had directed them to dump the mud there,” Tavares said.
The alignment of the road is totally wrong as there is something else in the ODP,” alleged Laurie Abranches.
