Superintendent of Police (South) Shekhar Prabhudessai had called Advocate Aires Rodrigues to the Police Station on Saturday with all the documents of proof to back up his complaint.
Rodrigues in his complaint has sought that a first information report (FIR) be registered against Manohar Parrikar for committing offences under Section 216 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code in harbouring an offender.
Pointing out that the Margao JMFC had on April 9 issued a warrant of arrest against the absconding convict Pacheco, who has to undergo a six months jail sentence as directed by the Bombay High Court at Goa, Rodrigues has in his complaint stated that though over two weeks have lapsed, Mickky has succeeded in evading arrest allegedly by means of collusion and connivance with high ranking politicians.
Rodrigues says that if an MLA cannot be located for over a fortnight then it is a matter of great concern for every citizen. He has also asked for investigation and examination of the call records of the phone calls between Manohar Parrikar and the absconding convict Pacheco.
