Conditional bail for accused in accident case

PANJIM: The Sessions Court Panjim has granted conditional bail to Naresh Ganthula and Bandi Rajashekar both from Telangana, who were arrested in connection with an accident which claimed lives of two persons at Mandrem last month.

Deep Naik,22 and his cousin Saheel Naik 19, who were travelling on a two-wheeler, lost their lives after their scooter was hit by a door of a rent-a-car that was allegedly negligently opened by an occupant.

Both the accused were arrested under Sections 279, 338, 304-A and 304 of the IPC and Section 134 (a) (b) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

In the order North Goa Sessions Judge Sherin G Paul directed the accused to be released on bail on executing a personal bond of Rs 50,000 each  with one surety.

The judge asked the duo to furnish their permanent addresses to the court and also inform if there is any change in the address.
