Cong accuses BJP of flouting poll code

PANJIM: Accusing the government of violating the election code of conduct, the Congress party said that it would complain to the State Election Commission about the BJP government’s announcement that the suspension of Environment Clearances had been revoked.
Terming this as “a joke,” GPCC Luizinho Faleiro wanted to know where was the order of the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests and alleged that this type of announcements were being made by the BJP before every election.
“This is like a joke. A joke played again and again. It was played during the Assembly elections, the Lok Sabha and now ZP polls. “We will complain and we also know that we will not be fooled,” Luizinho told media. “It is as clear a case as can be seen. This is a mockery of democratic elections… just to fool the people,” he said.
