VASCO: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday opened its third office in the State at the residence of former Mormugao MLA and speaker Floriano Machado at Mangor Hill, Vasco.
A large crowd from Vasco and nearby areas thronged the venue for the inaugural function and to hear some senior AAP members.
Addressing the gathering, AAP national executive member Dinesh Wagela said for the last 65 years, the traditional parties ~ BJP and Congress, looted the country and said the time was ripe for people to rise and join AAP to clean the system and governance.
When asked to comment on Kiran Bedi openly supporting BJP, Wagela said it was her views and from the beginning she was inclined towards BJP.
Valmiki Naik of AAP made it clear to all those planning to join AAP that if any one wanted to join AAP for selfish gains, to seek party ticket to contest the election or to hold any important post in the party, then they should think twice.
Another member, Rajendra Kakodkar, said traditional parties like BJP and Congress make the voters king only during the election time and once elected, they treat the voters as slaves the next five years.
Kakodkar added the motto of AAP is ‘working together works’ and added “AAP is not a substitute, but a solution.”
Remo Fernandes said he joined AAP as he felt that the party is of a common man and free of corruption. “Earlier, I fought against corruption by composing songs and  interviews,”  said Remo, as he enthralled the audience with the song ‘India against Corruption.’
