PANJIM: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) executive committee consisting of 24 members and headed by the Leader of Opposition Chandarakant (Babu) Kavlekar.
Legislator Wilfred D’Sa and office bearers like Surendra Furtado, Ramkrishna Jhalmi and Yatin Parekh among others are elected to the committee. GPCC President Girish Chodankar said the meeting of the newly constituted executive committee is convened on Tuesday.
The AICC has also appointed permanent invitees comprising of legislators Pratapsing Rane, Luizinho Faleiro, Ravi Naik, Digambar Kamat, Francisco Sardinha, Jennifer Monserrate, Antonio Fernandes, Francis Silveira Clafasio Dias and Isidore Fernandes; Eduardo Faleiro, Irene Barros, Ramakant Khalap and Ramakant Angle; Presidents of the Mahila Congress, Youth Congress and NSUI (Goa) and Chief Organizer of Goa Pradesh Congress Sewa Dal.
In addition to this, the eight member Media Department is headed by Chairman Ramakant Khalap.
