PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar on Thursday demanded that Goa Lokayukta retired Justice Ambadas Joshi must explain to Goans how he will give justice under the toothless Goa Lokayukta Act.
Justice Joshi will take oath of office on Friday, May 7. In a letter sent to Justice (retired) Ambadas Joshi at his personal residential address in Mumbai and to his personal email putting before him almost all issues linked to the office of Lokayukta, Girish has urged him to give preference to upholding his self-respect and dignity and keep himself away from the controversial approach of the BJP government.

Girish has brought it to the notice of Justice Joshi that the amendments to Goa Lokayukta Act has made it mandatory to obtain prior government permission before initiating investigation into the complaint against the public functionaries.
