PANJIM: Rejecting allegations that the ladies toilet is being used by male customers, the PWD contractor entrusted with the maintenance of the Calangute Beach Promenade and toilet has suspected that efforts are being made by his rivals to evict him from the site.
Reacting to a report in the Herald, the PWD contractor Saroj Kumar Choudhary denied allegations that there were no lady staffers to maintain the lady’s toilet and that, the toilet was being used by male customers.
“These allegations are false and fabricated, and it appears that they are being planted by my rival institutions who want to evict me from my present position,” said Choudhary.
Choudhary stated, “In fact, even the male staffers are not permitted to clean and maintain the ladies toilet.”

“We have kept two lady staff to work from 5 am to 10 pm in shifts, so that no lady customer will encounter any difficulty or hesitation to use the ladies toilet. At the same time, we also issue computerised bills for the facilities used by customers and this is highly appreciated by Indian and foreign customers.”
