PANJIM: Shree Marutirai Miramar Trust donated Rs 1 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Uttarkhand Relief Fund at a function at Shree Marutirai Devastan at Miramar. The president of the Trust Satish Naik presented the cheque to the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Parrikar appreciated the trust for the noble deed. He said this would inspire others to follow suit.
Parrikar further informed tha the government plans to identify area in Uttarakhand and rehabilitate that flood ravaged area. He said a team would be sent to that place by the end of July to study and identify the place and problems faced by the people there and added that the Goa government had taken up a similar project in Gujarat when that state was hit by a major earthquake in 2001.
Satish Dhume, Treasurer, Suresh Kudchadkar and others were present during the donation function.
Manguerish Pai Raikar was also present and compered the function.
