MARGAO: The police are awaiting the arrival of the kith and kin of the deceased crew members of the fishing vessel ‘Sea Messiah’, to conduct autopsies, even as authorities have succeeded in recovering five bodies till date.
Cuncolim police said the post mortem examination is likely to take place on Tuesday morning at the GMC mortuary since relatives of the deceased are expected to arrive tonight or early Tuesday morning.
Margao DySP Mohan Naik on Saturday said that police identified the five bodies, all crew members of the ill-fated fishing trawler ‘Sea Messiah’.
Meanwhile, the Yellow Gate police Deputy Commissioner Tanage B Ghadge has left Goa after meeting various police officials in South Goa including SP Prabhudesai and DySP Mohan Naik while other members of the Yellow Gate police team have stayed back and are continuing with their investigations.
