The accused and the girl were caught on camera entering the railway station and moving out in a hurried manner. Later the police and the locals nabbed the accused and rescued the girl. The accused was taken to Calangute police station along with the girl. He was later arrested by Calangute police while the girl has been handed over to her parents.

Calangute police with the help of locals nabbed the accused, who had allegedly kidnapped a minor girl at Calangute on Sunday. According to police, the duo was found hiding at the Tivim railway station waiting for a train to escape.
