Couple arrested for possessing drugs

A Nigerian man and his Mizoram woman were arrested late on Thursday night with illegal possession of cocktail of narcotics at Assagao.
A team of Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) caught Felix Ohimain Evborkhai (44) and Lalliansangi (47) re-handed in an act of trying to sell drugs amounting to Rs 31.54 lakh near Badem Chapel.
While Felix was caught with 3.340 kgs of Charas (Rs 3.34-lakh), his wife was arrested with 450 gms Heroine (Rs 27-lakh) and 6.7gms liquid LSD (Rs 1.20-lakh).
The couple, temporarily residing at Chapora was on police scanner since December 2010.
The ANC have seized weighing scale machine, passport, two mobile phones and en Enfield Bullet GA-08-J-6384 from the possession of the couple.
Police officials said that the pair is arrested under Narcotics and Drugs Psychotropic Substances Act and that investigation is on to gather more details.
