Courts to start hearing mundkarial, tenancy cases soon

PANJIM: Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte said that the civil courts will soon start hearing mundkarial and tenancy cases. The Saturday courts are already hearing mutation cases for the past one and half month.

PANJIM: Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte said that the civil courts will soon start hearing mundkarial and tenancy cases. The Saturday courts are already hearing mutation cases for the past one and half month. 
The discussion at a meeting with the ministers and MLAs of the North district, also saw the minister assuring to set up technology to track the status of the cases. 
“There was idea of sharing as far as Revenue Department is concerned, and looking forward to come together in cases of tenancy, mundkarial and mutation. The Saturday courts are hearing mutation cases, and it will also take up mundkarial and tenancy cases,” the minister told Herald emerging from the meeting at Secretariat on Wednesday. 
He also discussed about setting up a software monitoring system to track the status of the cases. “This will avoid delays and deliver service faster,” he stated. 
Khaunte also sought support from the MLAs to create awareness among the people on the new concepts and e-services launched by Revenue Department, in a bid to ease difficulties of common man. 
Matters concerning tenancy associations, comunidades, regularisation of illegal structures were also discussed at the review meeting.
