PANJIM: Crime Branch will go ahead with the lie-detector test on the witness in the Fr Bismarque Dias death case.
Crime Branch Superintendent of Police Karthik Kashyap (IPS) said that a thorough investigation, and to clear all the aspects of the case, as there have been various allegations made, the Crime Branch has decided to go ahead with the lie-detector test on the witness.
Meanwhile, Goa Medical College and Hospital panel of doctors, based on the DNA profiling report where no DNA profiling was done, viscera analysis report and diatom report, have come to the conclusion that the activist-priest’s death was caused by drowning.
While this is the official version, there is, however, an independent investigation going on in the case and new leads have been coming up.
Fr Bismarque’s body was found in River Mandovi on November 7 after he had gone missing on November 5. The family has still not claimed the body.
