PANJIM: Chief Secretary B Vijayan held a review meeting with all heads of government departments to take stock of the situation on the ground after the state was pounded by torrential rains.
Certain parts of the state have been inundated forcing the authorities to evacuate those whose houses were flooded.
The Wednesday meeting tried to ensure that there is inter operability among various departments to coordinate help and rescue. Questions of compensation also came up at the meeting, sources informed. The chief secretary was not available for comment despite several attempts to elicit what was decided at the meeting.
