MARGAO: The Cuncolim electricity office has started functioning from the KTC Bus stand, Cuncolim from Tuesday.
The Power department had shut down its Cuncolim office around a month ago and had shifted the office to the Cuncolim sub station located near the Industrial Estate, triggering protests from the local residents.
The Cuncolim MLA informed that the power officials will attend to public grievance from the ground floor of the bus stand. “Though the KTC has provided space in the store on the first floor, the electricity office will function from the ground floor for the benefit of the power consumers”, Rajan said.
The shifting follows after locals protested over the shifting of the electricity office to the Sub-station.
